Animation Courses
In Animation at the middle school level, students learn the basics of how to animate and create stories using paper/pencil, modeling clay, and Animation Master Software. They will understand the concepts of creating characters, backgrounds, actions and movements, as well as the history behind the evolution of animation.
These concepts are carried forward as they progress on to high school Animation courses. At the high school level Animation is a continuation of the material learned in middle school and focuses on Maya, a 3-D insdustry standard advanced software. Students taking this course learn storyboarding, 3-D modeling, and texturing and rigging. Careers in animation span all aspects of motion graphics. Within this context, in addition to developing technical knowledge and skills needed for success in the Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications career cluster, students will be expected to develop and understanding of the history and techniques of the animation industry.

From There to Here
At the middle school level, students learn the foundations of the art of 3D Animation utilizing Animation Master. At the high school level they continue these skills into their studies utilizing Autodesk Maya. Students are learning modeling, texturing, lighting, camera angles, and much more.
